NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Owned and operated a retail store in Houston, to import and sell Danish products, including office furniture and housewares.  Maintained a 7-day-a-week open schedule for a full year.

  • Exhibited at hundreds of business and consumer trade shows across the U.S., in multiple different industries including housewares; personally worked the booth and supervised the sales staff.

 

  • Served as a volunteer with the Junior Achievement program in Houston, TX - presented entrepreneurial concepts to high school students.  Supervised and mentored student-run microbusiness startups.

  • Successfully managed the groundfloor startup of two manufacturing companies in Houston, which created two unique consumer products; and achieved nationwide sales/distribution in multiple different categories, starting from scratch.  

  • Achieved status as a Texas Credentialed Mediator - served as a volunteer mediator in the Small Claims Courts from 1999 through 2020.  Handled civil cases, evictions, and domestic disputes. 

  • Successfully completed arbitration training - including "International Commercial Arbitration" by The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and "Labor Arbitration" by the Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service. 

 

  • Represented business clients as a commercial real estate agent, for industrial & retail locations - including the long term lease of a 150,000 square foot rail served warehouse space in Houston, TX.  ​​

  • Implemented a totally unique concept for residential real estate/property analysis - utilizing 'FLIR'  

       Infrared Technology to detect hidden mechanical defects, prior to contract submission.  

  • Provided services as a General Contractor for six years in Houston; specializing in the restoration of antique and vintage homes that would otherwise have been torn down.  

  • Provided independent 'ideation and design' services - to create or improve numerous mechanical products.

  • Extensive hands-on experience with custom machinery design & fabrication, CNC machining, injection molding, mold making, mechanical part design, 3D printing, sonic welding & PLCs.  

  • Pioneered an HVAC air filter product from its inception to a four percent national market share – while competing against leading firms such as 3M.

  • Created, designed & fabricated an electric exercise apparatus - capable of providing 1200 pounds of infinitely variable 'fully adaptive' exercise resistance, without the use of free weights.   

 

  • Independently authored the patent applications for four U.S. Patents recently issued, including extensive specification text and multiple independent claims.  Awarded seven U.S. Patents over a 30 year period.

 

  • Drafted an arbitration petition to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), which resulted in the immediate transfer of a ‘hijacked’ domain name back to the rightful owner. 

 

  • ​​​​​​​​​​Created five iPhone Applications, including “TimeLine TimeTracker” and “Egg Tac Toe” - supervised a team of programmers based in India to create the code; gained Apple approval for worldwide distribution. ​​​​
